Authenticity, respect of Tradition, exceptional terroir...
There, in the heart of Chateauneuf-du-Pape appellation, Baron Pierre Le Roy de Boiseaumarié has always been the reference. His descendants are strongly committed to keep alive such an heritage, in producing great and elegant wines.
Château Fortia produces red as well white wines.
Whites wines are usually blends of three varieties : Clairette (60%), Roussane (30%) and white Grenache (10%). The colour is a lovely gold pale tinged with green. It exhibits a delicate aroma of white flowers and honeysuckle.
For the red wines Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre are blended in the way to amplify their strenghts. Usually Grenache is dominant, but biends can vary according to the quality of the grapes. Château Fortia’s red wines have a dense and deep red/purple-tinged colour. They are full-bodied, dense, stuctured. The nose offers up scents of plum, black and red berries, delicately spicy, with persistent flavour on the palate and long finish.
