CHATEAU DE LA BRUYERE

CHATEAU DE LA BRUYEREThe Château stands on a hill between 2 mountains and offers a view southwards. This small estate lies in the village of Igé in the former parish of Dommange. Since taking it over in 1995, I have made a lot of investments on the cellars, the vines, equipment and buildings to return the estate to its former glory. This delightful Mâcon vineyard is planted on very sunny limestone slopes. The great age of the vines and the limits placed on yields guarantee a wine of quality. The wine-making methods are traditional. The ripe grapes are mostly picked by hand and maturing is carried out in oak barrels. The Reds have a good cherry-red colour and a deep bouquet of red fruit, blackcurrant and raspberry. Slightly tannic but perfectly balanced with a good taste. The Whites offer aromas of white blossom, dried fruit and toast, supple and rounded in the mouth. The Rosé is very aromatic with great finesse and length in the mouth.
