BEAUJOLAIS

BROUILLY

DOMAINE ALAIN MICHAUD

DOMAINE ALAIN MICHAUDProperty created in 1910 by the grandfather. Alain Michaud represents the third generation of vine growers, assisted soon by 4th with Dorian. The winegrowing counts 13 ha including 9 in Brouilly appellation, made up for 70% by vines of more than 50 years. Here, harvest is done with maximum maturity, after a first estimate at the time of the flower of vine (90 days of maturation), the diagnosis is refined a few days before harvest in order to wait the ideal moment. Harvest is done manually by merry and dynamic team of students of all horizons (girls and boys). A relatively long fermenting makes it possible to work out vintages with a good length in mouth and tannins quite present, in order to allow Brouilly and Morgon to draw from the grape the maximum of matters for a marvellous behavior in bottles. They are wines as Alain Michaud likes them!
Remarkable Brouilly 2011, coloured, typified, with the complex aromas where the plum and the undergrowth prevail, with firm and silky tannins at the same time, of fullbodied and spiced mouth. Very beautiful 2010, gold medal with International competition of the wines of Lyon 2011, cordial, of a great aromatic richness where the violet and the blackcurrant prevail, with full but molten tannins, of excellent evolution. Superb Morgon 2011 (2.50 ha, 45 years old vines on the slopes), faithful to itself, scented, typified, fleshy and robust, with connotations of strawberry of wood and spices, all in mouth. where a nice final spiced with the palate rosé Beaujolais 2010 is detected is a success, pink brilliant robe clearly, interferes freshness and structure, a wine all in mouth, with subtle and persistent aromas where prevail the fresh fruits. Taste “Gamaysienne”, a semi-sparkling red light with alcohol low level, very fruity, which they work out themselves in their wine storehouse, fruit of a work meticulous person, taken of foam made out of bottles with a traditional discharging.
Remarquable Brouilly 2013, which combines structure and charms, with the nose complexes (blackcurrant, smoked…), very quite constructed, of color constant and brilliant, very rich, of intense mouth.   The 2012, with the nuances crimsons, the flavors of ripe fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry) and of liquorice, is a packed, coloured and round wine in mouth.   The 2011 is typified, with the complex flavors where the plum and the underwoods dominate, with firm and silky tannins at the same time, of vigorous and spiced mouth.   Very beautiful 2010, gold medal with the International contest of the wines of Lyon 2011, cordial, of a great aromatic richness where the violet and the blackcurrant dominate, with full but molten tannins, of excellent evolution. Morgon 2012 (small harvest), resulting from a vineyard of 2.50 ha, 45 years old vines on the slopes, a pretty wine with the concentrated nose (ripe and blackcurrant), with full but molten tannins, well persisting finally, of very good mouth. The Beaujolais rosé is a success, pink brilliant color clearly, interferes freshness and frame, a wine all in mouth, with subtle and persistent flavors where dominate the fresh fruits.
Taste Gamaysienne, a semi-sparkling light red with alcohol low level, very fruity, which they work out themselves in their wine storehouse, fruit of a work meticulous person, taken of foam made out of bottles with a traditional discharging.
