Château Redortier, a renowned historic site, has 35 hectares of a unique location facing the prestigious Dentelles de Montmirail. The Domaine extends over the area of appellation Beaumes-de-Vvenice and Gigondas, and also produces Côtes-du-Ventoux and Vin de Pays de Vaucluse. Its terroir is exceptional, in addition to a landscape of breathtaking beauty, the vines range to more than 400 meters of altitude, on hillsides facing south, benefiting from a clay-limestone soil and summer drought. The farm is family-run, Sabine and Isabelle take care of the wines, without neglecting the expert advice of Etienne and Chantal who created the estate in 1956. The cultivation of the vines is conducted in a reasoned way, with constant concern for the environment. yields are deliberately limited to around 30 hl/hectare; a guarantee of quality. The harvest is done by hand, which allows a rigorous sorting of the grapes from the picking. Vinification is traditional; light pressing, controlled and controlled temperatures throughout fermentation. The reds will spend two winters in tanks before bottling. The wines do not stay in wood, the quality of their terroir gives them a natural woody character. Château Redortier wines are available on the five continents as well as on the best tables. The cellar is open every day, from 10am to 12pm and from 2pm to 6pm. We have a secondary cellar in the village of Suzette, open from April to October, «La Grange de Château Redortier».

A family winegrowing of wire father since 1692, 25 ha, composed of stony grounds argilo-limestones. It is today Denis Alary who directs this winegrowing to prunes human, whose vine grower spirit was always the base. The property is entirely on the commune of Cairanne, with 3 different soils which allow a subtlety in the assemblies according to the vintages. The wines are matured in the respect of the soil and the environment with cultivation methods very appropriate to nature, in conversion bio since 2009. Manual, tri grape harvest of the vintage to the vine and the cellar, de-stemming, punching of the cap. Maturing a part out of tanks and a part in the oval and puncheon… Superb white Cairanne L'Estevenas 2018, of pretty golden colour, with subtle shades of apple and dried fruit, of sweet mouth, an excellent wine combining finesse and structure, very harmonious. Also try the Cairanne rouge La Brunote 2016, a full-bodied, concentrated, very balanced wine with rich and tasty tannins at the same time, with black currant and pepper connotations. Just like the Cairanne rouge Tradition 2016, complex, dominated by macerated fruits, of a sustained purple colour, it is a rich and well balanced wine on the palate. We also recommend the red Gerbaude 2017, red garnet, the nose is expressive, with notes of red fruits, the mouth is smooth and round, to open now and our IGP Vaucluse feels an intense colour of dark red. The nose expresses fresh and intense aromas of small fruits, then notes of black liquorice in the finish.

The Côte-Rôtie wine-growing area covers three towns: Saint-Cyr-sur-Rhône, Ampuis and Tupin-et-Semons, on the right bank of the Rhône, on very steep granite terraces covered with a silica-limestone layer for the Côte Blonde and a clay and iron oxide layer for the Côte Brune. The climate is moderate Mediterranean, dry and hot in summer and with regular rainfall in the other seasons. There are around 200 hectares of vineyards set on terraces with 40% slopes, divided into: Côte Brune (clay, dark-coloured soil) producing very firm red wines with slow development and very good ageing potential (Vaillères, Côte Rosier, Turque, Pommière, Chevalière, Côte Boudin), and Côte Blonde (lighter soil) giving more supple wines (La Mouline, Châtillonne, Grande Plantée, Grands Cols). Enjoy this superb Côte-Rôtie Drevon 2016, purple in colour, with complex connotations of cherry, plum and spices, a powerful wine, with a harmonious structure, very firm in the mouth. “Produced for 3 generations, the Classic vintage renamed since the 2013 Drevon vintage, in reference to the work of André and Louis Drevon. A wine of guard as evidenced this 2013, with the nose present with aromas of violet and prune, it is a warm and gourmet wine, always very typed, with notes of leather and humus in the final, ideal currently with a truffle scramble or fried foie gras with cranberries. Taste the Côte-Rôtie Cuvée Coeur de Rose 2016, characteristic of the Syrah growing on the micaschist terroirs of the brown soils of the appellation, 50% of new barrels, a concentrated wine but all in distinction, marked by its terroir, a bold and fragrant wine, of very good mouth, with connotations of blackcurrant and pepper, combining color and material, of a nice spicy finish, of excellent evolution. Beautiful plot cuvée Besset, which flowers plum and spices, with ample tannins, full mouth, shades of fruits from the woods and gibberish notes. There is also this Condrieu 2015, pure Viognier, soil of decomposed granite, 25% of new barrels, mineral to taste, rich in bouquet, very harmonious, with notes of dried fruits and flowers, of a long finish with pleasant notes of citrus, perfect on a wolf with anise sabayon or tagliatelle with truffles and foie gras, among others.

A family estate of 10 ha. The family has been present on Séguret since the French revolution and cultivates the vine for this time. Christian Vœux, oenologist, is a man grown in the vineyard who has been the winemaker of Château Mont-Redon during 25 years. He becomes in charge of this vineyard in 2006 and he create the Domaine de l’Amauve, at the retirement of his parents. Today, the Domaine de l’Amauve is producing One White wine and 4 cuvées in red.. All here is done in harmony with nature and in the respect of the environment. The culture of the vine is traditional there with work of the ground and limitation of the treatments according to the rules of reasoned agriculture. The limitation of the yield is natural in the old vines, however, in order to ensure a better regularity, the vineyard has wild grass growing one row every two. In the young vines, the wild grass does not have a sufficient effect, also, the green harvest is practiced like method of selection of the bunches and control of the yield. Beautiful range of wines, typed, one starts with this CDR-Village Séguret red Laurances 2018, a wine complex and warm, intense and colorful, all in aromas (raspberry, liquorice...), of fleshy mouth. “For this 2018 vintage, the alternating grassing of the vineyard of the estate allowed the passage of the processing equipment despite the fact that the soils are soggy. On the palate, the CDR-Village Séguret blanc La Daurèle 2018, marked by its varietals Grenache blanc, Clairette, Viognier, Ugni blanc, all round, finely bouqueté with notes of hazelnut and heather, all in charm, of a great aromatic richness in the final, just like the CDR-Village Séguret rosé Le Rosé de Simone 2018, Grenache noir, Cinsault, Carignan, aged for a few months on lees, of beautiful shade, with notes of fresh fruit, Soft and bright at the same time, ideal on veal ribs with parmesane or soles studs. And finally the IGP Vaucluse red La Vigne de Louis 2018, Syrah and Grenache black, blending structure and roundness, a colorful and fleshy wine, with fine and supple tannins.
