Founded in 1946 by René Gouron, the DOMAINE will develop with the support of his Jacky son until in the Eighties. From now on, they are the little children LAURENT and STEPHANE which vinify and market together the 28 hectares which account the family property. Classified in Appellation CHINON Contrôlée le DOMAINE GOURON is parcelled out in many pieces: argilo-limestone and argilo-siliceous, on the slopes and gravels interfered sands, in plain. This diversity of grounds made it possible to create various vintages emphasizing the expression, fruity in plain and robust on the slopes. All the year an important work is granted to the vine in order to obtain the best fruits: the requirement of one prunes short, of the enherbés grounds and of polishing direct themselves towards controlled outputs, a better concentration and the respect of our environment. Our wines are matured in the micaceous chalk cellars with ideal conditions then bottled at the property. You will love this red Chinon vintage Vieilles Vignes 2014, a pure Cabernet franc from vines over 45 years old, powerful and complex, with nuances of well ripe red fruits and a touch of spices, it is a wine with well melted tannins, well balanced, fleshy, excellent guard. Their Chinon cuvée Terroir 2017, has a nice dress, bouqueté, a nose of red berries macerated, a very good frame, it is very charming and very round. Remarkable Chinon red 2018, (fermentation, maceration, then maturation in stainless steel vats), soft, fragrant (cherry, plum, humus), well fleshy, of a good length in the mouth, with ripe and tasty tannins. And the Chinon rosé, of very clear colour, with a subtle nose of strawberry, dry and friand, bright and fragrant in mouth.

If the vine were already present at XVème, it is Alphonse Roulleau (1885-1957) which directs really the production of Château de Rochettes towards the wine. Already present at Salon of Agriculture of Paris before the war of 1914-1918, it gains many medals there. Following the marriage of his/her daughter Raymonde Roulleau with Louis Douet in 1946, the tradition remains, and marketing is directed towards the sales to individual out of barrels and bottles. In 1974, it is their only son Jean Douet who will take again the reins of the vineyard. Impassioned liqueur-like wines, it will set up a work group at beginning of the year 90 for the recognition and the coding of the mention “Sélection de Grains Nobles”. The retirement age approaching and not having a child interested by the recovery, it agrees to sell Château de Rochettes to Catherine Nolot, already owner of a nearby vineyard the “ Domaine de L’Eté ”. A vineyard of 25 ha where the control of the vine is done in the respect of the soil and the environment (putting under grass). The wine makings are personalized for each type of wines. According to the vintages, ageing lasts 6 to 18 months. Magnificent Coteaux-du-Layon 2018, intense on the nose as in the mouth, rich and fine at the same time, tasty, with a floral bouquet, with these notes very characteristic of candied apricot, of a very great finish. Very nice success with this Anjou blanc Pièces du Moulin 2017, bronze medal at the Concours Général Agricole de Paris, with a lively mouth and round at the same time, it is very well balanced in acidity. Taste also this Anjou-Villages Coins du Moulin 2017, Liger d'Argent concours du Val de Loire, spicy as it needs, with dense tannins, ample mouth, color garnet maintained, all in power and finesse, it combines firmness and roundness. And this Crémant de Loire 15'49, Gold Medal Paris 2018, very beautiful vintage combining roundness and nervousness, giving off a nose of hazelnut and lily, abundant and dense foam.

The Château comprises 42 ha of vines on 14% slopes facing south. It is a historical property of the Nantes vineyard: it existed in the Middle Ages, was renovated in 1756, then in 1810. The communes built at this time are of pure Italian style (called clissonnais) with genoese and genminated windows typical of the Nantes vineyard. If Mr. Chéreau Senior acquired this property full of history in 1973, it is now his daughter who manages this vineyard, and continues the effort to safeguard the architectural and wine heritage. Since 2010, Véronique’s daughter, Aurore, graduated in oenology, has joined the Domaine. Remarkable Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine sur lie Comte de Saint Hubert 2010, with a fine nose with notes of white flowers and hazelnut, a frank mouth, subtle notes of smoke on the palate, very balanced, combining vivacity and roundness, of fine guard. Taste the Muscadet l'Ancestrale 2013 communal appellation Monnières Saint Fiacre, which has a lot of body and power, a great aromatic expression marked by very ripe fruit scents, then mineral notes. Very pleasant also the Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine sur Lie 2016, with a subtle nose dominated by fresh fruit and lime, an attractive vintage. Beau Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine sur Lie Comte de Saint Hubert Vieilles Vignes 2016, a wine of a beautiful acidity, with a very floral nose of elder and acacia, associated with citrus notes, perfectly balanced between fat and freshness. Superb Muscadet Sèvre- et-Maine on Lie Château de La Gravelle 2016 Organic Wine, certified Ecocert, with this touch of acidity combined with a pleasant roundness, where intertwine notes of quince and lily, of fine and persistent mouth. The Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine Château de la Gravelle Gorges 2013, Gorges municipal appellation, is of a beautiful harmony, all in fruit and finesse, ample, with subtle nuances of apple and dried fruit, with scented and frank mouth, a definite success. The Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine on Lie Domaine de la Bournaire 2016 Organic Wine, certified Ecocert, is really remarkable, by- and persistent, intense on the nose as in the mouth, dry and fresh, floral, all round, very well balanced, with this frank finish with connotations of reinette and smoky on the palate.

A family estate of 22 hectares, including some parcels of vines of more than 80 years old, run by two sons, Bernard and Pauline, who combine traditional practices with the modern techniques they have learned in legendary wine-growing areas: Beaune, Macon and Bordeaux. The estate is planted on the best hillsides overlooking the Loire, with very representative soils of the region: hard limestone, flinty clay, sandy terraces and Kimmeridgian marl, with each type of soil contributing its own qualities and creating a wine which has very particular characteristics on a terroir which does not. Since 2017, the HVE 3 (High Environmental Value Level 3) certification of the vineyard has enabled the estate to highlight these cultural and environmental efforts. Formidable Pouilly-Fumé blanc cuvée Silex 2019, it is the archetype of what we expect from a large Pouilly-Fumé typé, where intertwine notes of almond, peach and heather, it is harmonious on the palate, intense, mineral. Always very typical, splendid Pouilly-Fumé blanc Coteau des Girarmes 2020, combines elegance and structure, finesse and persistence, power and distinction, all in aromas, all in the mouth. Superb Pouilly-Fumé From De la terre aux étoiles 2018, maturing 12 months in 500 liter barrels, then 6 months in stainless steel tanks. Pauline’s homage to her grandfather who passed on to her the passion of wine, this cuvée resembles them, deep in the mouth, with a delicate bouquet where citrus fruits and small yellow fruits dominate, a great sweet and fresh wine at the same time. A member of the Individual Wineries Federation.

These young wine growers were rewarded in 2005 by the Départemental price for Dynamique Agricole. Nathalie and David Drussé produce wines certified Organic farming "FR BIO-01”. Like us, you will love their superb Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil rouge Vieilles Vignes 2018, a pure Cabernet franc, from a tuffeau terroir, it is a typical wine as we like it, with framing, notes of griotte and humus, of sustained colour, round mouth. Remarkable cuvée Amplitude 2017, low yield production that is part of late harvests of old vines (66 years), located on the slopes of tuffeau, at the edge of the woods, nose of small red fruits (redcurrant), it is a robust wine, rich and persistent palate with hints of blackberry and smoke, which begins to open. Beautiful Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil rouge Les Graviers 2020, elaborated on soils of flint and sand, with these notes characteristic of ripe raspberry, intense on the nose as in the mouth, particularly charming. Seductive Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil rosé 2020 Bio, a pure Cabernet franc, of a brackish color, that blossoms the dried apricot, it is a nervous wine, charming, both dry and friand, and it associates itself with rillons or a quiche, for example. There is also their red Bourgueil Leroy de Restigné 2019, still particularly marked by its clay-limestone soil, with aromas of cooked fruit and undergrowth, but also cherry, prunes and truffle, it is a very balanced wine where the tannins are firm and melted at the same time, powerful and tasty mouth. The Domaine also produces for some vintages wines without added sulphites, in small quantities. To be tasted freely on many gastronomic opportunities. Free reception for the adherent camp-site-drivers with France Passion or others. The cellar has just obtained for the comfort of all, the label “Tourisme and Handicap”.

Winegrowing of 23 ha, where one cultivates human heat with the same care that one brings to the vines, privileging fauna and the flora, “brooding them” to extract their quintessence and to let them from it express itself as well as possible, during a perfectly controlled and traditional maturing. These impassioned owners have indeed in heart to make discover subtleties of their environment, their soil and their work, so that each one of their bottle is a source of user-friendliness. Their daughter, Mathilde, work with them, her brother, Auguste, occupy more cellar. Since nearly 25 years, the Natter family is vivid by an Hmong team - originating in the mountains of the Laos - integrated into the culture of the wine. She impregnated single relation that these women and men maintain with the vegetable world. Together, they engage and take part in the installation of a protection of the local biodiversity. In 2005, the winegrowing gained the Trophy of the Best Very Small Exporter, at the time of the fiftieth anniversary of the club of the exporters of France. The agricultural regional Meeting decreed in Cécile and Henry the price of Honor for “atypical Vine growers”. The family has in heart to make discover subtleties of their soil, their environment, their work so that their bottles are this discrete bond between nature and themselves: source of marvellous user-friendliness. They delight us with the Sancerre cuvée François de la Grange 2016, lively and fine, good mouth with notes of linden, almond nose, all fruit, well typed. We are also under the spell with this white Sancerre 2018, from the terroir of the white lands, all in suavité, ample in mouth, very harmonious, a wine that smells hazelnuts and white peach, with a note of freshness very seductive on the palate. Taste the Sancerre red 2017, with hints of raspberry, a beautiful intense dress, very structured on the nose as well as on the palate. And still the formidable Sancerre rouge l'Enchantement 2015, vinification and ageing in oak barrels, purple in colour, with the nose dominated by strawberry and blackberry, rich and structured, of a nice finish, a classic wine, with mature but well-present tannins. Seductive Sancerre rosé, always the best of the appellation, with delicate fruity, with nuances of peach and small dried fruits, a wine very pleasant, dry and suave at the same time, which combines freshness with roundness, and a superb sparkling Secret of Anaëlle rosé, of great finesse, with a gourmet nose, crunchy in the mouth, very thirst-quenching in the final.

Managed by the Duveau family for several generations, the vineyard of Domaine de la Guilloterie today covers 50 hectares. Set to the south of the Loire and on the banks of its tributary the Thouet, this area benefits from weather conditions that are particularly favourable to vine-growing. On this clay-limestone soil, the vine-varieties flourish, giving expressive, characterful, distinctive wines. Domaine de la Guilloterie produces an excellent Saumur white, made exclusively with the Chenin variety. It is fresh, with highly distinctive, flattering aromas. The Saumur red is supple and very aromatic, with good body enabling a short ageing period. The Saumur Champigny is very harmonious and distinctive, with lasting aromas of red fruit - a complex, elegant wine. The Saumur Mousseux brut and the Crémant de Loire both have fine bubbles and are made according to traditional methods. They are most pleasant when drunk chilled.
