CHINON
DOMAINE GOURON

Founded in 1946 by René Gouron, the DOMAINE will develop with the support of his Jacky son until in the Eighties. From now on, they are the little children LAURENT and STEPHANE which vinify and market together the 28 hectares which account the family property. Classified in Appellation CHINON Contrôlée le DOMAINE GOURON is parcelled out in many pieces: argilo-limestone and argilo-siliceous, on the slopes and gravels interfered sands, in plain. This diversity of grounds made it possible to create various vintages emphasizing the expression, fruity in plain and robust on the slopes. All the year an important work is granted to the vine in order to obtain the best fruits: the requirement of one prunes short, of the enherbés grounds and of polishing direct themselves towards controlled outputs, a better concentration and the respect of our environment. Our wines are matured in the micaceous chalk cellars with ideal conditions then bottled at the property. You will love this red Chinon vintage Vieilles Vignes 2014, a pure Cabernet franc from vines over 45 years old, powerful and complex, with nuances of well ripe red fruits and a touch of spices, it is a wine with well melted tannins, well balanced, fleshy, excellent guard. Their Chinon cuvée Terroir 2017, has a nice dress, bouqueté, a nose of red berries macerated, a very good frame, it is very charming and very round. Remarkable Chinon red 2018, (fermentation, maceration, then maturation in stainless steel vats), soft, fragrant (cherry, plum, humus), well fleshy, of a good length in the mouth, with ripe and tasty tannins. And the Chinon rosé, of very clear colour, with a subtle nose of strawberry, dry and friand, bright and fragrant in mouth.

COTEAUX-DU-LAYON
CHATEAU DES ROCHETTES

The Château des Rochettes was taken over in 2006 by Catherine Nolot, already owner of a neighbouring vineyard, the Domaine de L'Eté. The vineyard represents an area of 60 ha where the conduct of the vine is done in the respect of the soil and the environment (grassing). Here is a large and racy Coteaux-du-Layon Vieilles Vignes 2018, extremely well balanced, with complex floral notes (rose, narcissus, etc.), a refined smoothness, all in shades in the mouth (gingerbread, ripe apple), rich and complex(13.60 €). Remarkable white Anjou Pièces du Moulin 2019, very fine, racy, powerful nose (acacia, fern, apple), fragrant and full mouth, a nice fat wallpaper the puck, ideal on green asparagus (11.25 €). Bel Anjou-Villages red Pièces du Moulin 2020, it is full-bodied and rich in color as in matter, with a subtle nose of stone fruit, spicy (12.65€).

MUSCADET
CHATEAU DU COING DE SAINT FIACRE

The Château comprises 42 ha of vines on 14% slopes facing south. It is a historical property of the Nantes vineyard: it existed in the Middle Ages, was renovated in 1756, then in 1810. The communes built at this time are of pure Italian style (called clissonnais) with genoese and genminated windows typical of the Nantes vineyard. If Mr. Chéreau Senior acquired this property full of history in 1973, it is now his daughter who manages this vineyard, and continues the effort to safeguard the architectural and wine heritage. Since 2010, Véronique’s daughter, Aurore, graduated in oenology, has joined the Domaine. Remarkable Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine sur lie Comte de Saint Hubert 2010, with a fine nose with notes of white flowers and hazelnut, a frank mouth, subtle notes of smoke on the palate, very balanced, combining vivacity and roundness, of fine guard. Taste the Muscadet l'Ancestrale 2013 communal appellation Monnières Saint Fiacre, which has a lot of body and power, a great aromatic expression marked by very ripe fruit scents, then mineral notes. Very pleasant also the Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine sur Lie 2016, with a subtle nose dominated by fresh fruit and lime, an attractive vintage. Beau Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine sur Lie Comte de Saint Hubert Vieilles Vignes 2016, a wine of a beautiful acidity, with a very floral nose of elder and acacia, associated with citrus notes, perfectly balanced between fat and freshness. Superb Muscadet Sèvre- et-Maine on Lie Château de La Gravelle 2016 Organic Wine, certified Ecocert, with this touch of acidity combined with a pleasant roundness, where intertwine notes of quince and lily, of fine and persistent mouth. The Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine Château de la Gravelle Gorges 2013, Gorges municipal appellation, is of a beautiful harmony, all in fruit and finesse, ample, with subtle nuances of apple and dried fruit, with scented and frank mouth, a definite success. The Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine on Lie Domaine de la Bournaire 2016 Organic Wine, certified Ecocert, is really remarkable, by- and persistent, intense on the nose as in the mouth, dry and fresh, floral, all round, very well balanced, with this frank finish with connotations of reinette and smoky on the palate.

POUILLY-FUME
DOMAINE ROGER PABIOT

The story began in the 19th century with Gustave and his son, Roger. Together, they founded the estate little by little. Then came Gérard and Bernard. In 2017, Pauline’s arrival marked the fifth generation of passionate winemakers. Today, the farm has 22 ha on clay-limestone, flint and sand terroirs that you can discover through a range of Pouilly-Fumé and Pouilly-sur-Loire. 2021 marks a turning point for the estate. After a complicated vintage between frost and hail, the decision is made to switch to organic farming. “After 2 years of testing, I decided to switch to organic conversion, with two years of experience and satisfactory results. I also have about 20 goats on the farm to graze.” With an exceptional quality-price-typicity ratio, still this formidable Pouilly-Fumé blanc cuvée silex 2022, it is the archetype of what awaits a great typical Pouilly-Fumé, where intermingle notes of almond, peach and heather, it is harmonious in the mouth, intense, mineral (€13). Very typical, this splendid Pouilly-Fumé blanc Coteau des Girarmes 2022, beautiful minerality, finesse, mainly white flowers and almond, a beautiful aromatic persistence, dense nose and palate, very typical, a wine combining elegance and structure in the final (11 €). You will still love the superb Pouilly-Fumé De la terre aux étoiles 2021, aged 12 months in 500l barrels, then 6 months in stainless steel tanks. Pauline’s tribute to her grandfather who transmitted her passion for wine, it is beautiful bright and limpid dress, develops nuances of musk and lily, racy and greedy (16 €, it is not expensive). The Pouilly-sur-Loire L'Ancestral 2022, 100% Chasselas, is very pleasant, of golden color, of great finesse, with the nose of flowers and small dried fruits, harmonious in the mouth, it is a wine very attractive by its distinction of aromas, lively and persistent, ideal on sardine fillets or monkfish with candied tomatoes (7 €).

SAINT-NICOLAS-DE-BOURGUEIL
CAVE DRUSSE NATHALIE ET DAVID

These young wine growers were rewarded in 2005 by the Départemental price for Dynamique Agricole. Nathalie and David Drussé produce wines certified Organic farming "FR BIO-01”. Like us, you will love their superb Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil rouge Vieilles Vignes 2020, a pure Cabernet franc, from a tuffeau terroir, it is a typical wine as we like it, with framing, notes of griotte and humus, of sustained colour, round mouth. Beautiful Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil rouge Les Graviers 2021, elaborated on soils of flint and sand, with these notes characteristic of ripe raspberry, intense on the nose as in the mouth, particularly charming. Seductive Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil rosé 2021 Bio, a pure Cabernet franc, of a brackish color, that blossoms the dried apricot, it is a nervous wine, charming, both dry and friand, and it associates itself with rillons or a quiche, for example. There is also their red Bourgueil Leroy de Restigné 2021, still particularly marked by its clay-limestone soil, with aromas of cooked fruit and undergrowth, but also cherry, prunes and truffle, it is a very balanced wine where the tannins are firm and melted at the same time, powerful and tasty mouth. There is still the IGP Val de Loire red Cabernet franc 2020, on the fruit, of garnet tint, dense on the nose as in the mouth, with very silky and very balanced tannins. And the Constellation Bourgueil 2020 is very well done. The Domaine also produces for some vintages wines without added sulphites, in small quantities. To be tasted freely on many gastronomic opportunities. Free reception for the adherent camp-site-drivers with France Passion or others. The cellar has just obtained for the comfort of all, the label “Tourisme and Handicap”.

SAUMUR-CHAMPIGNY
DOMAINE DE LA GUILLOTERIE

Managed by the Duveau family for several generations, the vineyard of Domaine de la Guilloterie today covers 50 hectares. Set to the south of the Loire and on the banks of its tributary the Thouet, this area benefits from weather conditions that are particularly favourable to vine-growing. On this clay-limestone soil, the vine-varieties flourish, giving expressive, characterful, distinctive wines. Domaine de la Guilloterie produces an excellent Saumur white, made exclusively with the Chenin variety. It is fresh, with highly distinctive, flattering aromas. The Saumur red is supple and very aromatic, with good body enabling a short ageing period. The Saumur Champigny is very harmonious and distinctive, with lasting aromas of red fruit - a complex, elegant wine. The Saumur Mousseux brut and the Crémant de Loire both have fine bubbles and are made according to traditional methods. They are most pleasant when drunk chilled.
