Château de FONTCREUSE is an elegant masonry whose construction was completed in 1700. In this beginning of XVIIIe century, the residence profited from running water what was extremely rare at the time. Water came from underground sources which fed a gallery dug under the hill which provided out of water the Winegrowing and its dependences, which gave its Nom to Château “FONTCREUSE”. The property extends on 34 hectares of which 31 hectares are planted, 16 hectares for the wine White de Cassis, 9 hectares for the wine Rosé de Cassis and 6 hectares for the wine Red. It should be recalled that the color of reference for the Cassis appellation is before all Blanc; rare and single product in an area Provence accustomed to produce the Rosé.
Formidable Cassis blanc cuvée “F” 2018, Ugni, Clairette and Marsanne, where intermingle persistent notes of ripe fruit and honeysuckle, harmonious mouth, a great wine sweet and dry at the same time, to open up a bar as well as grilled veal.
The Cassis rosé cuvée “F” 2018, Cinsault and Grenache grape varieties, has nothing to envy, with concentrated fruity, with nuances of peach and dry berries, a dry and sweet wine at the same time, which combines freshness with elegance, of mouth fragrant and persistent, oily, ample, to open on a spicy cuisine, really exceptional. As for this IGP Bouches du Rhône red cuvée Mussuguet 2016, Syrah and Caladoc grape varieties, slightly spicy, it is a full and rich mouth wine, beautiful garnet color, combining power and finesse, excellent guard, to taste, for example, on a leg of Provence or a salmis of palombes.
