BANDOL
DOMAINE LAFRAN-VEYROLLES

An estate with a superb terroir. The grapes are hand-picked, not destemmed, and crushed gently before going into fermentation vats for 15 to 21 days with temperature control. Next, the wine is matured in large oak barrels for 18 to 24 month. This results in a fine red wine with a powerful nose combining notes of spice and red fruit. It is ample and solid, rich in colour and structure, with very well-balanced tanins and good ageing potential. No chemical weeding, organic since 2014. The Bandol white, made with the Clairette and Ugni blanc varieties, is just as flavoursome, releasing intense floral notes of heather. It goes ideally with grilled fish. The Bandol rosé, combining finesse and structure in the mouth, has notes of flowers, a fine, intense colour, great elegance and a very long finish on the palate. Remarkable value for money, limited quantities available, older vintages possible.

CASSIS
CHATEAU DE FONTCREUSE

Château de FONTCREUSE is an elegant masonry whose construction was completed in 1700. In this beginning of XVIIIe century, the residence profited from running water what was extremely rare at the time. Water came from underground sources which fed a gallery dug under the hill which provided out of water the Winegrowing and its dependences, which gave its Nom to Château “FONTCREUSE”. The property extends on 38.6 hectares, 21.5 hectares for the wine White de Cassis, 4.5 hectares for the wine Rosé de Cassis, 8.6 hectares for the wine Red IGP Bouche du Rhône, and 4 hectares for the wine Rosé IGP Bouche du Rhône. It should be recalled that the color of reference for the Cassis appellation is before all Blanc; rare and single product in an area Provence accustomed to produce the Rosé. Formidable Cassis blanc cuvée “F”, Ugni, Clairette and Marsanne, where intermingle persistent notes of ripe fruit and honeysuckle, harmonious mouth, a great wine sweet and dry at the same time, to open up a bar as well as grilled veal. The Cassis rosé cuvée “F”, Cinsault and Grenache grape varieties, has nothing to envy, with concentrated fruity, with nuances of peach and dry berries, a dry and sweet wine at the same time, which combines freshness with elegance, of mouth fragrant and persistent, oily, ample, to open on a spicy cuisine, really exceptional. As for this IGP Bouches du Rhône red cuvée Mussuguet, Syrah and Caladoc grape varieties, slightly spicy, it is a full and rich mouth wine, beautiful garnet color, combining power and finesse, excellent guard, to taste, for example, on a leg of Provence or a salmis of palombes.
