In 1970, the winegrowing is converted with the biological culture, the first applications of organic-dynamie beginning in 1981. Starting from harvest 1986, the Demeter mention is obtained, and, since harvest 2002, the wine is not stopped any more with cork but with capsules crowns in Inox, to avoid the organoleptic deviations (savors and aromas) caused by the stoppers cork. Wine making without any additive, manual grape harvest, indigenous yeasts, maturing on the lees during 9 months. You are always under the chame of this Muscat Steinert 2016, with a fruity mouth, sweet, finely bouqueté, a wine where richness is associated with distinction, to be served with an almond pie or a four-quarter with pink pralines. Beautiful Pinot Noir Strangenberg 2018, pure wine, without added sulphite, a success, rich and scented on the palate, with these subtle notes of candied plum, combining structure and velvety. All in charm, the Pinot Gris Grand Cru Vorbourg 2017, maceration, pure wine without added sulphite, develops a hint of freshness and a persistent fruity, of a pretty aromatic complexity with smoked nuances, of very bright colour. Remarkable Riesling Grand Cru Vorbourg 2016, with connotations of flowers, lemon and lily, dense and racy, well balanced in acidity, tasty mouth, a wine of very good evolution. Taste also the Bergweingarten 2017, pure Sylvaner, without added sulphite, unfiltered, that smells good grapefruit and peach, and this Gewurztraminer 2018, maceration, pure wine, no added sulfite, powerful and bouqueté, very attractive for its structure and density of aromas, dry and persistent in mouth, perfect on a grilled lobster or a poached hen sauce green.


With his scientific mind and his avant-gardist temperament, Charles Schléret seeks to apply his knowledge of modern techniques to the vines grown on the excellent terroir of Turckeim. This highly experienced wine-maker puts the emphasis on state-of-the art equipment in his constant search for quality improvements. Charles Schleret is a forerunner in modern vinification with temperature control, and knows how to use this approach to preserve the intense, fresh aromas of his wines. This is how he has built the reputation of his products. His efforts have earned him many awards and medals in prestigious wine competitions. This recognition is thoroughly deserved, as is confirmed by his faithful clients who are only too keen to benefit from the excellent value for money of his prestigious Cuvées made with grapes from vines which are over 35 years old -wines with strong local character and exactly the sort of wine we like. This is the perfect example of quality obtained thanks to the constant efforts of a devoted wine-grower who respects the great traditions of Alsace wines. He has regularly featured among the winners of the great wine competitions in France and abroad: Grand Prix d'Excellence of the Union Française des Oenologues. Gold medals in the Sélections Mondiales de Montréal. Several awards at the Brussels Concours Mondial and the Paris Vinalies Internationales. After the resumption of an ancestral family vineyard and with much of determination and will, the marketing of our production began during the years 1990. Most of our vines are at the foot of the majestic Château du Haut-Koenigsbourg. With 6 hectares of vines and in spite of the youth of the house, we produce mainly wines with High Expression and we align each year a score of vintages thanks to a keen work and to neat completions. Among a great number of references, let us quote inter alia the range of the Old Vines, the whole of our wines of soil like the BURGREBEN or SILBERGRUB without forgetting our famous “ROUGE DE SAINT-HIPPOLYTE”. In 2003, we celebrated the birth of our last cuvée: “HARMONIE”, a table wine which is declined in white or rosy according to mood. The typicity and the quality of our vintages are regularly rewarded in various competitions and re-examined: Guide hachette, Prix d’Excellence , medals…
