CHATEAU HOURBANON

CHATEAU HOURBANONOfficially appeared in 1893, it is into 1974 that Remi DELAYAT repurchased and rehabilitated this estate of 13 ha. After her disappearance, his Nicole wife, always continued this rehabilitation in the search of the quality and the respect of the soil. It is Hugues, their son today who, since 1997, continues this search in the respect of these values and these traditions, as attest our cultivation methods of them (strong body of plantation, ploughings exclusive of the grounds, fights reasoned then Bio conversion, grape harvest manual and, control sort table of the yields).
You will be able to discover this Médoc 2009, which collected the rewards (gold medals with the competition of Vignerons Indépendants, of Argent to Mondial of the wine, Argent to International competition of Brussels, Bronze to International Wine Challenge), a wine marked by black fruit notes and finely spiced keys, of full mouth, with firm tannins, combining structure and melted. The 2008 is an good example of the typicity of the wines of this winegrowing, a great traditional vintage of Médoc, powerful and dense mouth, which releases from the nuances of raspberry, humus and liquorice, a steady structure, a fleshy wine, with ripe but rich tannins, of a complex final, of guard, of course. Excellent 2007, gold medal with the competition of Vignerons Indépendants and Argent to Interntional Wine Challenge, dense and powerful with the nose as in mouth, with its tasty tannins, with the cooked fruit nose (blackcurrant, bilberry), of a nice delicately spiced final.
