The winegrowing belongs to the Jayne family since 1893. Alphonse Jayne cultivated his grounds during more than 70 years, within the framework of a mixed-farming, alternating vines, fruit trees, local grazing grounds, vegetables. In 1996, Laurent Jayne his grandson takes again his continuation and creates the Winegrowing Saint-Louis Jayne. He perpetuates the traditional and ancestral work of the vine, by privileging the natural and reasoned methods. He undertakes a slow reorganization of the vineyard which counts a very large variety of type of vines. Not less than 9 type of vines, of which the white Pascal (old woman variety of Provence) who remains only on this winegrowing. The 8 ha of the winegrowing extend on slopes ventilated by the marine breezes. The vines for half were planted by his/her grandfather, here are soon 70 years. They give and Laurent their bracket a limited, but exceptional production.
Cassis fermented Fonfon white 2008 (nickname of the grandfather) is a wine which releases from subtle aromas of almond and lime, suave mouth but of sharp nature, a nice final. The rosy 2008, at the same time supple and fond of delicacies, with this persistent spiced key, of a beautiful aromatic smoothness, are a nice wine, of beautiful color. Vintages 2009 promise to be exceptional.
