Barvy or “brevis” in patois, it is the roundwood stem which related to the shoulder two men one behind the other, to which one suspended the bucket (at the wood origin weighing approximately 80 kg) filled of the grape buckets emptied by the vintagers, to leave harvest the vine.
Property of family origin since several generations of vine growers, who knew to develop and grow rich in appellations and colors (white and rosy), since his creation in 1982. In consequence of acquisitions to diversify and improve our range of wines, we had the possibility with the passing of years of adding to the Beaujolais-Villages red and Brouilly already present, the Coast of Brouilly in 1994 and the Beaujolais-Villages white in 2000. The Winegrowing thus reaches 8 hectares divided into 4 Appellations of Controlled origin. Another important date, in 1995 construction of the current cuvage and creation on the floor of a rural lodging, the first allowing us in new and functional buildings to on the spot vinify from now on the whole of our vines, the second to accommodate hosts on the winegrowing and to lodge our vintagers in September. Since 2003, it is Dominique who deals with the winegrowing, one owner-collecting which endeavors to make wines in the respect of the tradition vintner, while profiting from modern technologies. During years to come, the purpose of we will be to develop the quality and the diversity of our wines, by supporting us on the developments in the wine making and farming techniques while keeping the artisanal and traditional side which makes the pride of our profession.
A success, this Beaujolais -Villages white 2007, traditional and supple, all in aromas, with the complex and powerful nose (acacia, pear), very quite well-balanced. Tasty Côte-de -Brouilly 2006, to reserve for the sauce meats and cheeses. More complex, Brouilly 2007 oak barrel, with its intense aromas where prevail the red small fruits good ripe (currant, blackberry) and this quite typical spice point, is proposed at a particularly attractive price.
