DOMAINE D'AMBINOS

The Domaine d' Ambinos comes from the root of the Greek word: Ambelos, the vine which produces and Inos, Gold wine. Property of Henri Ribière who was mayor of Beaulieu of 1950 to 1965. Then my Father, Chéné Pierre made on the property in 1945, takes the continuation in 1966. Jean-Pierre his son settles in November 1972, and directs the estate only since 1981. Finally Jean-François on part of the estate of his father, created the Coulée d’Ambrosée and chooses the culture and the biological wine making.
The great vintages of botrytized swett wine with the winegrowing are: 1989,1990,1995,1996,1997,1998,2003 and 2005. Each one with a character which is it his and which reflect the climate, for example the 1989 year very, very dry which did not make it possible the botrytis cinéréa to develop and concentrated by passerillage. The Domaine d’Ambinos forged its reputation by marketing the old vintages oldest being the 1961. The 1969 and 1971 astonish by their robe coppers quite vivid and by an acidity characteristic of Chenin.
