CRU LAMOUROUX

CRU LAMOUROUXThe Cru Lamouroux was bought in 1895 by the great-grandfather of the current owner, Mme Ziemek-Chigé. This very nice vineyard is located on rather deep slopes of argilo-siliceous ground with exposed slopes south-south-west, sheltered well wind by timbered thalwegs, at an altitude of 300 Mr. Certaines vines are planted on terraces laid out in amphitheater. The planted grape varieties consist of 3,50 ha of Petit Manseng and 1,77 ha Gros Manseng, 0,51 ha of Cabernets franc and Sauvignon. The grape harvest is done by successive sorting. The grapes, for the development of the Jurançon sec, are collected with perfect maturity about on October 30th, whereas the overripe grape harvest for the Jurançon begins after November 15th until Christmas. The grape harvest of grape red begins about the 2nd week from October. The wine making is the very attentive care object (in a hurry one is done with low pressure, great control temperatures…). The wines are then matured out of tanks stainless for the dry wines or out of barrels of oak for the others. Certain vintages remain between 1 year (cuvée Amélie-Jean) and 2 years (cuvée Nathalie) in old barrels.
Mellow Jurançon cuvée Amélie-Jean 2003, in homage to their parents, is a fleshy and scented wine, with the nose of cooked small fruits, subtle in mouth, of nice brilliant dress, all in consistency, all in complexity of aromas, to lead to a poultry or a fish out of sauce. The 2001 continue its very beautiful evolution, with notes characteristic of candied fruits, very unctuous in mouth. The 2000 are in the line, a wine where intermingle with the nuances of honey, candied fruits and brioche, of a soft consistency, with its notes in mouth characteristic of hazel nut and honey, combining suppleness and structure. Jurançon fermented Nathalie is very well matured 2 years out of barrels of oak, of a beautiful color, with the nuances envoûtantes of crystallized apricot, of a great aromatic persistence, combines charm and powerfull. The mellow 2004 of nice intense robe golden, with notes of dry small fruits and brioche, all in persistence in the palate, associates smoothness and fullness, very pleasant on a dessert. Their Jurançon sec, full mouth, feels hazel nut at the same time, sharp and round, with this pleasant mineral side finally. The Béarn rouge and the rosy one are typified and fruity wines which are tasted on steaklets or paellas.
