This Cru Bourgeois has belonged to the same family for 2 centuries, but has
a history that is archaeologically rich. Amand was bishop of Bordeaux in the
Vth century, became a "Saint", gave his name to the estatand had a chapel
dedicated to him in the XIth century. The story goes that in order to
protect the people of the village, a "miracle" fountain was installed and
healed many people. Today this pleasant estate makes a fine Sauternes with
great bouquet, a lovely colour, a dense, subtly floral nose and deep,
lasting flavours in the mouth, with power, refinement and distinction, a
wine for laying down, intense, harmonious, distinctive and classy, ample and fruity, with
subtle connotations of honey and rose.
