The Château Plaisance is located on the commune of VACQUIERS at the south east of the appellation and account to date 30 hectares of vines. The planted grape varieties are composed of NEGRETTE (60%), Syrah (25%), Cabernet franc (5%), Cabernet Sauvignon (5%), Gamay (5%). The PENAVAYRE family cultivates vine on Vacquiers since several generations. In 1991, the association of Louis PENAVAYRE and its son Marc, gives a new dash to the winegrowing since surfaces pass from 7 hectares to 16 hectares, and with the passing of years up to 30 hectares. Not saved with the whole beginning by the modern receipts of culture and wine making, the winegrowing is centred with the beginning of the year 2000 on soft farming techniques. A work of the vine to nearest to the soil, without weeding manures nor, by privileging the natural products. The wines neither are stuck, nor filtered. They are today of very beautiful ambassadors of the Négrette type of vine, which since nearly two thousand years makes their charm and their incomparable originality. In reconversion in biological vine growing since the vintage 2008 - certification by France Quality.
The Fronton 2005 (maturing from 12 to 18 months and three rackings), is of a beautiful dark red, with the connotations of humus and overripe black small fruits, all in tannic, full smoothness and is structured. The Fronton rouge Thibault de Plaisance 2005, is rich color as out of matter, with quite firm but tasty tannins at the same time. The Fronton 2006 (resulting from a maturing from 12 to 18 months and three rackings), is marked by notes of very ripe black fruits and touches finely timbered, of mouth suave, which develops molten but well structured tannins. The Fronton rouge Thibault de Plaisance 2006, of vivid color, with firm but quite silky, intense tannins color and aromas, request a little patience to develop all its potential (very beautiful 2005). Tasty Fronton Tot Çò Que Cal (All that it is necessary) 2006, very traditional, of garnet-red color vivid, all in aromatic richness, a wine of fleshy mouth, scented (morello cherry, humus…), with round and powerful tannins at the same time.
