CHÂTEAU LAGRANGE-LES-TOURS

We discovered Lagrange Les Tours in January 2001, a charming Napoléonian castle in the middle of its vines, on the right bank of the Dordogne, between Bourg and Fronsac. We are sice facing, with the assistance of Jean-Marc Dournel and the formidable small team in place, a permanent quality challenge. The vineyard counts 20 ha on clay and limestone soil.(65% Merlot, 25% Cabernet-Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet franc). We created the cuvée “Les Cent Rangs” which we mature one year in the barrels of the best French coopers and, since 2004, we work out “L' Idée Claire”, a Clairet de Bordeaux, a real one! Resulting from the short maceration of young grapes according to the precursors of selected aromas. But, nothing is acquired, everything remains to be conquered, we work everyday to achieve a real Bordeaux Superior friendly and complex and we permanently try to deserve the kind appreciations of all the significative guides. Discover the Bordeaux Supérieur Les Cent Rangs 2005, gold medallist at the World Competition of the Wine Brussels 2007 and silver medallist of the International Challenge of the Wine in Bourg 2007, its powerful tannins, its elegant structure, its connotations of small red fruits, a velvety wine in mouth. The Bordeaux Supérieur 2005 and its powerful mouth, very delicate, robust and well-balanced, very traditional. The Clairet de Bordeaux “L' Idée Claire” belongs to the Top Vins 2008 des Bordeaux & Bordeaux supérieurs, a very charming wine, always one of the best of its appellation, at the same time fond of fruity flavours and structured, with a spicy mouth.
