Fourth generation of vine growers for this winegrowing of 24 ha, mainly in slopes. It is today, Gilles who directs this family estate, planted on an silico-argillaceous soil with the basement of siliceous crystalline rock called “Gabbro”. The produced wines are mainly the Muscadet wine with two communal vintages in the course of recognition the “Gorgeois” and the “Granite de Clisson”. In weaker production, we produce “Gros Plant” Method Traditional, rosy and red of the Val-de-Loire coming from the type of vines Gamay, Cabernet-Sauvignon and Merlot. Our vines with the limited output are old of about thirty years. Led vineyard in reasoned fight, with controlled putting under grass (to avoid erosion) and respect of the soils with only of the foliar weeding between the stocks, which obliges 3 with 4 passage per annum. No contribution of manure, only 1 time per annum, a calcic amendment on certain pieces. During the grape harvest, the grapes are vinified in the family cellar where Gilles Luneau associates tradition and modern technology. The geological diversity of the soils brings to the various vintages an aromatic richness which makes the fame of the Elget Castle.
Muscadet Sèvre et Maine sur lie « LES BOUTINARDIERES» a fresh and fruity wine with much of elegance, pleasant with aperitif. It is harmonized with all roasted fish or out of sauce.
Muscadet wine Separates and Maine Château Elget “Old women Vines”: resulting from well enracinées vines, is characterized by the fleshy one and suppleness. Surprising on the pork-butcheries and the white meats in addition to the traditional fish dishes.
Muscadet wine Separates and Maine on lees “Prestige Castle”: quite well-balanced, with the intense and complex nose, the mouth is elegant, mineral with a good persistence. Attractive on shells St Jacques, fish p4at3es, sauce fish a such bar of line. The 2007, are a wine of a beautiful nervousness, frankly and fruity, rich in bouquet, extremely well-balanced which combines vividness and roundness.
