Nicole Roskam-Brunot, after studies of right and regional saving at the university in Bordeaux, decided to devote herself entirely to her vineyard and to bring the most attentive care to the winemaking and the terroir by ensuring a reasoned commitment in the work in the vineyard (HVE from the 2019 vintage).
Today, Nicole Roskam-Brunot is helped of her sons. Frans deals of the technical part and part of marketing. It also manages in Haut-Médoc the Château La Lauzette Declercq (a Cru Bourgeois) and Johan deals of the marketing and management of Château Cantenac. “It is one period hinge where I carry out the transfer of power with my sons. I do not forget Frederic who even if he does not work on the property, remains an enthusiastic support. Thus everyone feels implied!”
The 19 hectares extend in the prolongation from the slope saint-émilionnais, prevailing the valley of the Dordogne. He is composed of 80% from black Merlot, 15% of Cabernet-franc and 5% of Cabernet-Sauvignon. The gravel-sand and argillaceous ground allows an excellent maturation of the grape. The wine is very elegant, marvelously having a nice bouquet and fruity, a beautiful complexity and length in mouth. Since 2000, they also propose you the vintage “Sélection Madame”, a nice selection of Merlot, a wine charmer and very fruity.
The œnotourism takes an increasingly significant part with traditional visit-tastings or personalized lunches. And the charter “Vignobles and wine storehouses in Bordelais” came to validate the quality of our reception. There is also Les Open doors the first weekend of May, in concert-tasting and May, which is always the occasion to present our vineyard with cultural and fun events.
