It is in Provence, in the middle of the Lubéron and of its Natural park, between Avignon and Aix-en-Provence, in the small village of Bonnieux, which is located the château La Canorgue. Small family vineyard, the castle profits from a situation privileged for the culture of the vine. Built on an old Roman villa, it owes its name with the many underground drains that the Romains had pruned in the rock to collect water. In a search for quality, a respect of the vine and environment, the vineyard, for more than 30 years, has been cultivated of biological method (Certifié Ecocert). The vines are cultivated without contribution of artificial fertilizer, nor of insecticide of synthesis. The ground is worked mechanically without employment of weeding. The wine making is made in a traditional way with indigenous yeasts. The cellar is a marriage successful between tradition and modernity. The reception of the grapes is done by gravity. L' use of a pneumatic press carefully allows a pressing all. The stainless fermenting room thermobabbited supports the control of the temperatures during fermentations. After wine making or maturing in the lightnings of oak, the wines are bottled at the castle without other handling in order to preserve the maximum of aromas.
The Castle proposes this Côtes-du-Lubéron rouge 2006 to you, of beautiful garnet-red color vivid and intense, with the nose characteristic of ripe fruits and scrub, a vintage robust, rich and molten at the same time, of very good guard. The cuvée Vendanges de Nathalie 2007 is a wine with supple and silky, frankly and fond of delicacies tannins. The Côtes-du-Lubéron blanc 2007, Clairette, Bourboulenc, Marsanne et Roussane, not of passage out of barrels, full mouth and a beautiful acidity, is all in freshness and aromatic persistence. Very good Côtes-du-Lubéron rosé 2007, Grenache mainly and 30% of Syrah, grapes resulting from vines with very poor yield (30hl/ha), direct pressing. It there has also this nice Local wine of Vaucluse fermented Prestige 2004, and 2005 20 days traditional wine making, maturing 14 month in half-muids, marked by the fruit, stops round and powerful, with the roasted notes.
