Château Bellevue attracts the attention of the visitor by its geographical
situation. Its privileged location is the source of its reputation and its
quality. As well as this, it is also one of the oldest vineyards in the
region, managed with the experience which has been accumulated over half a
century, traditional wine-making techniques, vine-growing without chemical
weedkillers and limited yield per hectare of 40 to 50 hectolitres, which is
rare in the region, but provides the basis of a top-quality, concentrated
wine. The vines stretch out majestically over a south-facing slope providing
perfect exposure to the sun and bounded by the foundations of Saint-Georges
Church (11th century) near Saint-Emilion.
