CHÂTEAU LA PERRIERE

CHÂTEAU LA PERRIEREAt the Means-age, the Château La Perrière was a monastery; the monks clearers planted the first vines on the calcareous slope. ? This one is drained by the small brook Perrière which controls the ground water favorably. This vineyard of 14 hectares (74% Merlot 24% Cabernet franc 2% Cabernet Sauvignon) is oldest of the appellation Lussac Saint-émilion. The control of the estate is reasoned there. The property, shone upon well, enjoys a remarkable situation and profits from a calcareous basement with which the rock, levelling, is covered with a surbedded argilo-limestone layer not exceeding 30 cm thickness. The Rose Perrière is elaborate in collaboration with Docteur Alain Raynaud.
Discover Lussac Saint-émilion Château La Perrière 2005, of color ruby, with the red fruit nose, nice volume in mouth, powerful and the 2004 with the red fruit bouquet with vanilla notes, supple and round in mouth. Excellent Lussac Saint-Émilion Château La Rose Perrière 2006 (80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet franc) manual grape harvest, maturing on the lees out of new barrels with 80% and 20% out of barrels of a wine, with the nose of spices and undergrowth, exhaling wild and persistent notes, with quite well-balanced tannins which start to be melted. Saint-Émilion GC Clos Grandes Versannes 2006 (55% Merlot, 17% Cabernet-Sauvignon and 28% Cabernet franc), dense, very quite robust, rich and round at the same time, is scented, with the notes of ripe fruits, melted but powerful in mouth.
