In 1982, Daniel Laurent took over the family estate from his parents. His father used only a tiny part of his harvest for making his Champagne for a few friends and clients, the rest of the grapes being sold to traders. In Autumn 1982, Daniel decided to produce his own Champagne, with the assistance of his wife, and they registered their present trademark, "Champagne Laurent-Gabriel". The estate is a very small one, 2.5 hectares of vines producing about 18,000 bottles of Champagne per year. The vines are located in two places - 90% in Avenay Val d'Or, classified as a premier cru and Avize classified as a grand cru.
Remarkable Champagne Grande Réserve brut, 75% pinot noir, 20% Chardonnay, 5% Meunier, 2013 edition, 2012 blend and half reserve wine, it has a delicately golden hue, with discreet notes of honey, of nuts and rose, which combines freshness and structure, all in aromas.
Le Champagne Réserve brut, 2015 edition, 2014 blend for half and vinified reserve wines type "solera", has notes of lime and apricot, well balanced, winey mouth with creamy touches. The blanc de blancs brut, powerful and bouqueté, with delicate scents of rose and lemon, of a nervositosity in mouth certain, mixes structure and finesse, a Champagne of a beautiful finish on the palate, on lobster with basil Or strawberry shortbread pie.
Their Vintage 2002, 80% pinot noir, 20% Chardonnay, resulting from a vinification without malolactic fermentation and without passing in the cold, aged 6 months in oak barrels, very pearly foam and very persistent, is a rich Champagne, all in the mouth, where one finds aromas of lemon and honey, fruity in the nose as in the mouth, distinguished.
As for the Grand Rosé brut, edition 2015, white wine and red wine year 2014, it is of pretty moss, sweet as it should be, and gives off nuances of strawberry and spices, a Champagne of very beautiful tint, full-bodied and round at the same time, perfect, for example, on red mullet Or beef carpaccio.
