It is after studies of oenology that Caroline Bonnefoy moved to Valréas on the lands of the family property for more than a century.
Since 2005, the Estate has expanded to reach 45 ha in Organic Agriculture, on 4 different appellations. Caroline is partnering with Gilles Phétisson «Domaine de Lumian», who manages the wine section, and she, who is dedicated to wine making.
You can discover this Domaine Caroline Bonnefoy Rasteau organic red 2016, with a rich aromatic palette reminiscent of chocolate, game, with notes of candied cherry, spices, very appreciable on red meats and cheese.
Domaine Caroline Bonnefoy Valréas organic red 2016 offers a dense mouth with fleshy but silky tannins, where griotte and redcurrant mix. It is a tasty and full-bodied wine that, with a little patience, should reveal its full potential.
And finally the Domaine Lumian CDR organic red 2016, which develops an intense nose, marked by notes of small red fruits with stone, all in aromas, very well-bred, a distinguished and powerful wine at the same time, really successful.

Rasteau is harvested manually in small containers, the grapes are sorted and destemmed. Both grape varieties are assembled for vinification. The fermentation lasts 5 weeks during which we only perform cold shedding in order to keep a maximum of primary aromas and fat while having a good tannic extraction. |
Characteristics |
Situated at altitude, the Grenache and Syrah plots reached maturity at the same time this year. The grapes are harvested at full maturity, taking care to appreciate the phenolic maturity and not only the sugar/acidity ratio. |
