BEAUJOLAIS

BEAUJOLAIS BLANC

CHATEAU DE BOISFRANC

CHATEAU DE BOISFRANCThe château and Domaine de Boisfranc were built in the years 1860 by AUGUSTE GUINON, rich Lyonnais industrialist having made his fortune at the time of the famous one and universally considered, silk trade lyonnaise. The Domaine, very out of golden stone of the country, is very vast. Its cuvage a 40 meters length is impressive. Its arched cellar, with its cast solid granite columns, is most elegant of the Beaujolais. It is into 1977 that Thierry Doat starts to work with the Domaine. After a stay in a vineyard in the USA in 1979 and one work in a biological restaurant in 1980, the turning with 180 ° is started: the reconversion of the Domaine to the biological vine growing starts for a long adventure. It is not without problems and concern that the transformation takes place! But the results are well there today, and the quality of harvests is well with go. Without chemical artifice, the grapes are succulent and sweetened, the vintagers regale themselves some and the wine makings without chaptalization give wines rich in savors.
The Beaujolais blanc 2006 (Chardonnay), where intermingle with the notes of finely peppered almond and heather, is a wine of beautiful dress, round, of scented and flattering mouth, with a final of lime and fresh small fruits, to discover on pike quenelles. Excellent Beaujolais Supérieur rouge 2006 charmer, fleshy, velvety, very scented, with notes of undergrowth and ripe fruits (strawberry of wood, bilberry…).
