Denis and Alexandra Blondeau-Danne put all their talent and their passion in the maturing of their great wines, associating the rigorous tradition of large the Bourgogne with carefully controlled wine makings. They are very applied with the quality of the raw material without which a great wine cannot be expressed and let age the wines out of barrels 2 winters for the white and 3 winters for the reds so that the aromas are based harmoniously. The wines remarkable, are very typified, all in charm and smoothness. “Our customers already start to reserve the 2007, specifies Denis Blondeau-Danne. After one “estival” spring, we had an “autumnal” summer, slowing down maturity. But thanks to the sun and with the wind, at the end of August, we could gather the grapes in September with a homogeneous quality. The wines are beautiful, with much minerality, character, smoothness. One compares them with the 2001. The outputs for the white are the same ones as usually, for the reds, they are weaker, approximately 20% less. The 2006 are superb, with much fruit, much smoothness and elegance. Saint-Aubin and Meursault in 2005 particularly are successful, it is a great vintage of the vein of the 1985. We also propose a Bourgogne Passetoutgrain to you and a Bourgogne spontaneously to consume at the time of a good small meal, Saint-Aubin 1st Vintage Combes to be divided simply with friends, the Puligny-Montrachet, the Meursault 1er Cru La Pièce sous le Bois and the Volnay will be the companions of moments privileged around a table of festival. For the 2003: frozen at the end of April, hail in June - July, roasted in July - August. I did not precipitate to gather the grapes (some began on August 15th!). Following the dryness since the beginning of June, the vegetation was blocked. Rains of at the end of August on plowed vines (4 times this year!) made start again this vegetation. Dame Nature took again its rights. We began on September 6th (100 days after the flower of the vine).
That gives powerful reds, with the aromas of fruits red, and white supple, fleshy, with the ripe fruit aromas.” For the pleasure, therefore, its Criots-Bastard-Montrachet 2006, the smallest piece of the grand crus of the Montrachets, the Criots, diminutive of Crais: white ground, in a not very deep ground, give a wine full, powerful, scented… Vine planted in 1979. A great wine, with the nuances of fresh small fruits and toast, of a beautiful consistency, mouth powerful, dense, all in nuances, a wine combining smoothness and structure, to lead to a lobster. The Saint-Aubin Premier Cru Le Village is located in the middle same of Saint-Aubin, in a deep and fleshy ground, the Pinot noir and Chardonnay gives fleshy, powerful and scented wines. Saint-Aubin gives also Bourgogne reds and white and Bourgogne Aligoté. These appellations result from vines in slopes, very quite exposed. The white, where roundness and distinction join, with the nose prevailed by the fresh fruits, is of a large smoothness, a wine suave, of a beautiful final. Excellent Saint-Aubin First Vintage the red, rich Village with the nose, with subtle connotations of cherry and humus, a wine which associates powerfull and distinction in mouth, matured well, with tannins quite present and tasty at the same time.
